On 8 March, Steve at KCS Landscape Management, Inc called SRN salesperson Jim Donelan looking for a quick turnaround on twenty-five 8-ft red crapemyrtles. Jim checked the SRN inventory and inspected a newly-arrived block of 8’ Lagerstrœmia ‘Tuscarora’. He relayed this information to Steve and set up a delivery for the next Tuesday at the jobsite, the re-do of the old Ballston Common Mall in Arlington, now called Ballston Quarter.
KCS supplied a crew of three and a forklift; Jim was onsite with the SRN driver and supervised the unloading, which was done in forty-five minutes. The planting job ahead was to install the crapes in planters around the site, so the material selected was uniform in height and structure with three-four stems per plant. Jim followed up on the job a couple of weeks later; all the material was installed in huge pots and looked great. KCS also planted some pansies in each pot for some immediate color.
