We helped Davey Tree by direct-shipping 1,200 Prunus laurocerasus ‘Otto Luyken’, 18” to Rollins Park in Washington, DC. SRN located a grower on short notice after the original timeline for this project changed and the first grower could not supply the plants.  SRN then coordinated two tractor-trailers a couple of days apart to drop half of these plants directly at the jobsite and the rest to Davey’s yard. Davey had the challenge of ripping out old material, prepping the soil and then had to lay thick chicken wire over entire planting area as a means to control the rats from getting to roots.  So the chicken wire had to be cut, peeled back to plant, and then reset leaving room for base of plant to grow.  Not an easy task when you have 1,200 plants to be done this way. Davey did an outstanding job and we are proud to be a part of this project.

Come by and see how we can help you with your next landscape project!
