Back to one of our key tree suppliers this month. We have been fortunate to have grown along with this supplier through a fifteen-year-plus partnership. They have had lots of rain all spring and summer (over 7 inches in the last month alone) and thus a good spring growing season. The good news is they have lots of shade and ornamental trees with an extensive mix coming on and ready in the 2” size range and ‘Green Giant’ arbs up to 8 ft.
The bad news is they will only have a handful of 2½” and 3” stock in select species and 80% of their extensive crapemyrtle crop and boxwoods suffered severe winter damage after the early spring warm-up followed by March freezes.
